I’m a single girl who isn’t sad that she is alone on Valentine’s Day.
Truth: I like it.
I’ve gotten the idea of love wrong more times than I would like to admit. I’m not bitter about failed relationships and heartbreaks though. Humans have the overwhelming ability to love one another to such extreme amounts. When you’re in love, you feel as if everything else in the world is uncomplicated and everything is a little less demanding than it used to be. You have someone to comfort you in a way that no one else can even remotely attempt to mimic. You smile just thinking of that person. You can’t wait to see them when you’re away from eachother. Love is a such a powerful emotion and I’m lucky to have felt that a few times, even though my relationships have all ended miserably so far. I’m optimistic that I’ll find love one day. For now though, my life is focused on me (for the first time ever) and I’m not worried about anything else.
Enough about all of that though. Right now I am munching on the world’s best cupcakes that a certain boy brought me today and listening to songs about love as well as songs about heartbreak.
Since most people are either happy or angry about this day I thought I would share 2 separate playlists I have going on.
